This is the Audi Urban Concept Spyder - the roofless version of Audi's radical city car, due to bow in at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. There's not much else to say about this Audi: it's the same as the coupe shown earlier this month, but with a low, continuous window area and doors that open diagonally to the top. Aston Martin today unveils the new, mostly carbonfibre Vanquish supercar - its 183mph range-topping V12 supercar to replace the DBS flagship. The new Aston Vanquish Mk2 lands in showrooms in spring 2013, priced at £189,995. It's a milestone car, this, for Aston; they're considering it as their anniversary present to customers as they prepare for their centenary next year.

The Corolla brand is going the same way as Oldsmobile, Jif and Marathon – to the knacker's yard. It may be the most venerable nameplate in motoring history, but Toyota is ditching the Corolla badge in western Europe. The latest incarnation of the Japanese family car will be unveiled at the Paris motor show in September 2006, but it won't be wearing the Corolla logo.
